This 2023 release is a technical small batch composed of just 32 barrels aged for 17 years on the first floor of Rickhouse 1G at the Bernheim campus in Louisville. Utilizing the traditional 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye mash bill, the first-floor maturation climate provided a slower aging process with less intense heat, resulting in a refined wood-to-spirit balance.
The profile is structurally dense, featuring technical notes of butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, and raisin bread pudding, balanced by seasoned oak tannins and a rich Cadbury chocolate finish.
