This brawny Merlot is for those who aren’t afraid to get a little sun on their face or dirt under their fingernails. These Washington grapes were harvested from low-yielding vines, which increased the flavor concentration in each berry. Every cluster was also allowed a little extra “hang time” on the vine to achieve maximum ripeness and flavor development. Our Pip and Plow winemakers are experts at taking advantage of what the environment has given them. They matched big fruit flavor with generous oak to create a full-bodied wine that is notably woodsy and ripe compared to other red varietals from Washington.
