Francesco Cirelli’s Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is made from certified organic vineyards in Atri, Teramo, where clay-limestone soils meet the cooling influence of the nearby Adriatic Sea. Crafted from 100% Montepulciano grapes harvested by hand, this rosato undergoes a brief maceration of just a few hours to extract delicate color and aromatics. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts occurs in stainless steel, honoring Cirelli’s minimal-intervention philosophy. The wine then ages four months on fine lees in steel tanks, building texture and complexity. As part of Cirelli’s holistic farm ecosystem, these vines benefit from natural fertilization by grazing animals and biodynamic practices.
