Description
Located beneath the old RN74 on limestone blocks, Au Leurey in 2020 achieved concentration through evaporation, unexpectedly reaching 15% alcohol content. Presently, the wine is aging in a cool, damp cellar in town, with the aim of tempering its potency during maturation. It displays a color more black than purple, owing to a delayed malolactic fermentation resulting in lingering gas. The wine is characterized by its immense, dark-fruited profile, avoiding overt heat but lacking in finesse and delicacy.
