Description
Old Forester 2013 Birthday Bourbon is the twelfth annual release in the brand’s vintage-dated series, bottled at 98 proof (49% ABV) and distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky. The mash bill is Old Forester’s standard 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Aged 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels on the 7th floor of Warehouse I, a high-floor position with elevated heat exposure that drives deeper oak extraction and accelerated angel’s share loss. Selected from a single day of production and released on September 2 to commemorate founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday.
