Description
Bardstown Bourbon Company Goodwood Honey Ale Finish is a Bourbon from an undisclosed Indiana distillery, blended and bottled at Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. Part of the distillery’s acclaimed Collaborative Series, in which the blending team partners with renowned winemakers, brewers and brandy houses to finish its award-winning whiskey in their used casks. Bottled at 110.1 proof.
This Collaborative release sees Bardstown bourbon finished in honey ale barrels supplied by Louisville’s Goodwood Brewing, the blending team using the beer casks to fold a malty, honeyed sweetness into the spirit. It remains one of the gentler, more dessert-leaning finishes in the entire program. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, honey, malt, and light vanilla. The palate brings honeyed sweetness, biscuit, and soft spice. The finish carries malt and a mellow oak close.
Limited and widely sought, it has become a genuine chase bottle for enthusiasts. It has earned a lasting reputation within the Bardstown Collaborative Series and a devoted collector following. Bottled at 110.1 proof, it shows the bold, full-strength character collectors prize. Once the allocation sells through, the secondary market is usually the only route to a bottle.
