Master Distiller Fred Noe selected this batch from 6 different warehouses and aged for 7 years, 1 month and 2 days. Marking the second release of the Booker’s Bourbon 2023 Collection, this batch name honors Booker Noe’s apprenticeship under Carl Beam. When Booker started working at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont in 1952, Carl became like a mentor to him.
Per Fred Noe’s notes, on the nose, it shows oak-forward, well-balanced with notes of vanilla and toasted nuts. The palate brings well-balanced, and the finish carries long and full, perfect for easygoing sipping. The pour shows Booker’s darkest, deepest amber and henna color.
A 2023 Booker’s release, this named batch is closely tracked by collectors building a complete Booker’s run. Bottled at full barrel strength with no chill filtration, it rewards a few drops of water and drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
