Description
Booker’s The Storyteller Batch 7 Year is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky. Released as Batch 2023-04 and bottled at 127.8 proof, this uncut, unfiltered Booker’s release is part of the named-batch series Master Distiller Fred Noe oversees.
Master Distiller Fred Noe selected the batch from across four different rack-houses, aged 7 years, 2 months and 29 days. Marking the fourth and final release of the Booker’s Bourbon 2023 Collection, this batch honors Booker Noe’s ability to turn just about anything he talked about into an interesting story.
Per Fred Noe’s notes, on the nose, it shows brown sugar. The palate brings delightful, well-balanced, notes of vanilla and wood, deep and complex, vanilla, nuts and oak, robust vanilla and caramel, slightly smoky, and the finish carries warm. The pour shows Booker’s darkest, deepest amber and henna color.
A 2023 Booker’s release, this named batch is closely tracked by collectors building a complete Booker’s run. Bottled at full barrel strength with no chill filtration, it rewards a few drops of water and drinks well neat or over a single large cube. Booker’s pioneered the small-batch, barrel-proof category and remains a benchmark for uncut bourbon.
