Description
Buffo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is produced from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown at 280 meters elevation in the Tenuta Zappino vineyard in Abruzzo. The certified organic and BioVegan estate uses the traditional Pergola Abruzzese training system with south-southeast exposure. Gentle pressing is followed by fermentation at 72°F with long maceration in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages 12 months in French oak barrels and an additional 12 months in bottle before release.
