Description
Canary Islands native Eduardo Torres Acosta trained alongside Arianna Occhipinti and at Passopisciaro before establishing his own project on Mount Etna in 2014. Eduardo Torres Acosta Versante Nord 2022 blends predominantly Nerello Mascalese with Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante, and Grenache from alberello-trained vines up to 80 years old across multiple northern-slope contrade at 550-750 meters elevation. Sandy volcanic ash soils define the terroir. The wine ferments spontaneously with roughly 10% whole cluster in concrete tanks for 15 days, then ages 16 months in 25-hectoliter Slavonian oak botti. Eduardo Torres Acosta Versante Nord 2022 bottles unfined and unfiltered as IGT Terre Siciliane.
