G.D. Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 offers an approachable introduction to Piedmont’s most noble grape from one of Barolo’s pioneering organic estates. G.D. Vajra sources fruit from high-elevation, organically farmed vineyards across Barolo, Novello, and Sinio—vines ranging from 7 to 25 years old on clay-limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested in early morning to preserve aromatics, then undergo gentle maceration and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. G.D. Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 ages 8 to 14 months, primarily in stainless steel with some neutral Slavonian oak. 13% alcohol.
