Description
Pecorino is an ancient variety that likely originated in the Sibillini Mountains of Italy growing on wild grape vines, but over time it was domesticated and used for production. The history of the wine is so deep that scientists are still guessing at where the name came from. It is likely from the Italian word “pecora”, meaning sheep, but despite the name, there is no direct link between the Pecorino grape and pecorino cheese. The Maiden’s Delight is yellow with green edges and has an incredible nose. The white, pulpy fruits and tropical notes blend to make a vibrant wine. We think that the wine will pair beautifully with fish tacos, fresh oysters, or even a light risotto. Judges love the freshness of this wine too and sent it home from the 2019 Denver International Wine Competition with a Silver medal!
