Penelope Founders Reserve 11 Year 107.6–118.4 Proof (53.8%–59.2% ABV) is a highly allocated, Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey produced as a limited release by Penelope Bourbon. This 2024 expression utilizes a traditional distillery mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, representing a curated selection of older stocks sourced from the Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown. The release was issued across five distinct lots, each bottled at its unique cask strength: Lot B (118.4 proof), Lot C (116.6 proof), Lot D (109.5 proof), Lot E (107.6 proof), and Lot F (108.2 proof).
Maturation occurred over 11 years in new charred American oak, yielding a rich and complex profile of butterscotch, toasted oak, and dark stone fruits, balanced by a deep undercurrent of cinnamon and leather with a long, velvety finish.
