Description
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Grapes were hand harvested and during fermentation, the wine macerated for 25 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine aged 18 months in 100% new French Allier barriques and 6 months in the bottle before release. The nose is complex, opening with enticing aromas of black cherry, plum, and dark berries. Notes of cedar, spice, blood orange, and a hint of tobacco are also present. On the palate, It is a full-bodied red with silky, velvety, yet firm tannins and bright acidity. Flavors of ripe blackcurrants, black cherries, and a touch of tobacco or graphite with some sour cherry, herbaceous and cedar notes. The finish is long, persistent, and penetrating. It leaves a distinctively savory or slightly herbal aftertaste. 14.5% ABV
