Description
Tenute Tozzi I Turrizzi Etna Rosso is crafted from 100% Nerello Mascalese grown in Contrada Moganazzi, Solicchiata, on Mount Etna’s northern slopes at 670 meters elevation. The nearly century-old vines are trained in traditional alberello and cordon speronato systems, rooted in deep black volcanic soil enriched with sand and minerals. Tenute Tozzi harvests the grapes manually in October, followed by controlled-temperature fermentation in stainless steel. The wine ages 10 months on lees in used barriques before bottling. This Etna Rosso DOC reflects the distinctive volcanic terroir of Sicily with winemaking guidance from consultant Paolo Caciorgna.
