William Heavenhill 2nd Edition Signature Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bottled at a cask strength of 127.6 Proof by Heaven Hill Distilleries in Bardstown, Kentucky. Released in June 2012 as an ultra-exclusive gift shop bottling at the Bourbon Heritage Center, this second edition small batch consists of only 113 total bottles, though the label shows 175 bottles. The liquid relies on the brand’s core bourbon mash bill, which features 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. The spirit underwent a primary maturation of exactly 13 years inside fire-charred new American white oak barrels.
These select casks rested in Rickhouses at the Bardstown campus, where the positioning accelerated evaporation and deep wood extraction. Uncut and non-chill filtered, this prolonged wood contact imparts a dense texture featuring concentrated butterscotch, dark cardamom-spiced apple pie, and lingering ginger spice.
