Description
Fabio Gea Flowers in the Sky with Rain is a sparkling rosé made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes grown in Bricco di Neive, Barbaresco, Piedmont. This experimental wine was intentionally harvested during rain to explore how the weather affects the final flavor. Grown on calcareous clay soils with lime and sandstone, the 1.8-hectare vineyard receives minimal treatments of copper and sulfur. Fermentation occurs in Fabio Gea’s handcrafted porcelain amphoras, glass, and stainless steel vessels without temperature control, cultured yeasts, fining, filtration, or sulfur additions.
