Created by expert winemaker Austin Hope who worked under Charlie Wagner at Caymus, this robust and well-structured red wine hails from California’s Central Coast, specifically San Luis Obispo County and Paso Robles. It is renowned for its full-bodied character and intricate flavors that perfectly capture the warmth of the vintage. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep ruby color with hints of purple. Its powerful aroma includes blackberries, cassis, and dark cherries, with undertones of cocoa, espresso, and vanilla. On the palate, ripe blackberry, blueberry, and dark cherry flavors are complemented by notes of chocolate, tobacco, and baking spices. The long, velvety finish is enhanced by smooth tannins and a touch of minerality. Compared to the regular Austin Hope wine, this Reserve offers a deeper, richer profile, featuring notes of mocha, cinnamon, berry cobbler, tobacco, and vanilla bean.
