Description
The grapes for this refreshing wine are sourced from two vineyard blocks located in the Colchagua Valley, one of South America’s most promising wine regions with a growing reputation as “Chile’s Napa Valley.” These vineyards rest on the foothills of the Andes at 500 meters above sea level, and their soils have deposits of clay, silt, and gravel. One plot grows Clone 1, which is herbaceous, citric and fresh; the other is planted with Clone 242, producing aromas often compared to a classic Marlborough but with more persistence in flavors.
The harvest 2015 benefited from a warm summer and little rain. The fruit matured early in the season leading to an earlier harvest which ensured a nice balance between freshness and body expression. Expressive and clean with notes of mango and crisp pineapple, this wine has a long, elegant finish that will make you savor it down to the last drop.
