Description
The Maule River, which runs east to west through the area from the ocean to the base of the Andes Mountains, moderates much of the typically intense sunshine that vines see during the day. The warm days are followed by cold nights, which lengthens the growing season and results in near-perfect ripeness and a beautifully balanced acidity. This stunning wine is a gorgeous reflection of the highly concentrated flavors that come out of the region. A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, this wine is made in a style that is part New World and part Old World. Full-bodied and deep in color, dark fruit flavors, herbaceous vegetal notes, and savory characteristics swirl together as you sip. Smooth tannins round out the back end of the palate.
