Description
Red wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape are a blend of many grapes. This wine from Château La Nerthe has a complexity that’s achieved by the grape varieties and the excellence of the terroirs. Winemaking without artifice promotes length and finesse rather than power and concentration. Aging in large casks, wooden vats, and barrels confers a superb balance between freshness and mature tannins, resulting in wines with great aging potential. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault dominate the blend and give birth to an intense wine with extraordinary aging potential. The color is a dense garnet, while the intense bouquet reveals aromas of cherry and wild strawberry with notes of spices and garrigue. The tannins have a soft, delicate texture.
