Description
Evoking summer days on the French Riviera, this delicately pale and bright pink rosé is light with a beautiful freshness at the end. White peach, strawberry and red plum aromas open up to a dry and easy palate with light red fruit and accents of citrus and minerality. It is made up of Grenache Noir, Cabernet, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault from the Domaine de Sarragousse, located on 20 hectares of the Rognac hillside and operated by the Robaldo family since 1948. The Mistral winds, blowing down through the Rhône Valley to the Mediterranean, keep the vineyards dry and pest-free with clear skies for plenty of sun. Limestone, mineral, clay and sandstone define the soils here in Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, the second largest appellation of the historic Provence wine region. Tucked in the far southeast corner of France, sitting on the Mediterranean coast, Provence is the oldest wine producing region in the country and home to the only research institute dedicated to rosé.
