Description
Frank Cornelissen Munjebel CS is crafted from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes from an ungrafted vineyard in contrada Zottorinoto, specifically the Chiusa Spagnolo section on Mount Etna, Sicily. This unique vineyard was planted around 1925 at 620 meters elevation, surrounded by lava flows. The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed, then fermented with indigenous yeasts during 50 days of skin contact. The wine ages 18 months in neutral epoxy tanks from 1500-2500 liters, followed by 18 months bottle aging before release.
