Description
François de Nicolay Cuvée des Beaux Jours Beaujolais-Villages is crafted from Gamay grapes sourced from 30-year-old vines planted at a high density of 10,000 vines per hectare. These vines thrive in sandy and granite soils, contributing to the wine’s mineral character. The vineyard is in conversion to organic farming, reflecting a commitment to sustainable viticulture. Vinification involves whole-cluster fermentation lasting nearly three weeks without sulfur addition, followed by eight months of aging in tanks. This approach preserves the wine’s freshness and purity, resulting in a vibrant expression of the Beaujolais terroir.
