Description
Literaria ‘42 has released an outstanding example of Chilean-style Chardonnay. Those who love this grape variety know of the incredible versatility it can offer, from the buttery renditions found in California to the aromatic wines of New Zealand. Our Literaria ‘42 meets these styles in the middle with a soft structural balance and stone and tropical fruit notes. This wine offers a taste of what makes Chile such an exciting place to find new renditions of old classics. The Maule Valley offers a temperate home for Chardonnay with a Mediterranean climate boasting ample sunshine and cool nighttime breezes. For the 2021 vintage, harvest took place in March when the grape’s natural sugar levels reached an optimal balance with acidity resulting in an inviting, fruit-focused wine. Enjoy this bottle well chilled with Chilean appetizers such as chicken salad with avocado, known locally as palta reina, or salty empanadas.
