Description
This bold, rustic wine will delight with its rich fruit and velvety tannins. Syrah is a wine that is all about style. Even in the Rhône Valley, the home of the grape, it is made in a diverse array of styles. As the grape traveled to the New World the Aussies took it and called it Shiraz, and the “Rhone Rangers” brought it to heel in California. This Syrah comes from the vineyards of Paso Robles. It’s hearty, rustic, and bold. The wine was fermented with its stems, which adds an element of freshness, complexity, and tannin. The Paso Syrah grapes and stems make a bold wine full of dark plum, black cherry, and blackberry with hints of bacon fat and white pepper. A hearty wine, this is the kind of Syrah perfect for pairing with barbecued meats. Judges love it too! It took home 92 points and a Gold Medal at the 2020 West Coast Wine Competition
